Ghanaians have been given a big opportunity to see and witness a historic performance by Multiple Grammy Award Winner, the Legendary Jazz artiste, Earl Klugh, American smooth jazz/crossover jazz/jazz fusion guitarist and composer, who is considered by many to be one of the finest acoustic guitar players of today.

Earl Klugh will be the main act at the 2015 Stanbic Jazz Festival at the International Conference Center which comes off February 19 and 20, 2015.

The second edition of the festival will also feature Arkah Blay and other local jazz artistes.

The Stanbic Jazz Festival is in partnership with Vodafone Ghana, Delta Airlines, Graphic Communications, Quality Insurance Company and Buena Vista Homes.

The public is also notified to purchase their tickets for the two-day event from any Stanbic Bank branch across the country.

Speaking at the media launch on Tuesday for the 2015 Stanbic Jazz Festival, Head of Marketing and Communications at Stanbic Bank Ghana, Mawuko Afadzinu, said the bank's association with the Jazz Festival is to buttress the point that “we aim to deliver world class service”.

According to him, as part of the bank's plan to nurture and promote the development of the visual and performing arts, thus the Stanbic Jazz Festival.

“We promised last year to make the Stanbic Bank Ghana Jazz Festival a stop on the global jazz calendar by presenting top-flight musicians to the people of Ghana.”

“We want to contribute in positive ways to develop and grow the music industry thereby providing employment, training and skills development in all the related field of technical production including sound engineering ,'' He added.

Earl Klugh is one of the most imitated icons of the instrument. He has issued dozens of discs, 24 of which have been on Billboard's top-10 list of jazz albums. He has received 13 Grammy nominations.

Also speaking via the telephone at the launch of the 2015 Stanbic Jazz Festival, Klugh said he, together with his band are ready for Ghana.

“We are very ready to perform in Ghana and we can't wait to be in Accra at all,” he said.
