Labadi came to a virtual standstill last Sunday, January 25 as a star-studded line up  of the biggest names on the contemporary Ghanaian music scene came together to thrill fans at the Margarita beach carnival held at the La Pleasure Beach in Accra.

The beach carnival, powered by Kasapreko Company Limited, drew an overwhelmingly large number of beach party lovers who enjoyed performances from Samini, Stonebwoy, Keche, Guru, Rashid Metal and a host of underground artistes.

The carnival started with performances from underground artiste who set the tone for the show, with the crowd screaming for more at each performance.

Keche were the first major artistes to perform. The duo had the crowd of revellers singing along to their hit song 'Diabetes' and many of their other hits.

Before Stonebwoy mounted the stage, Guru's 'Pooley' and 'Lapaz Toyota' kept the crowd excited as he performed hit after hit. Guru was quickly followed by Rashid Metal, the sensational new artiste in the music industry already making waves with his version of the hit song 'Baafira' .

Stonebwoy, the Ashaiman-bred dancehall superstar, sang songs such as 'Climax' , ' Pull Up' , 'Ghetto Love' , ' Can't Cool' and of course his version of controversial song, 'Baafira' , undoubtedly the crowd's favourite. Stonebwoy also called on his fans to support made-in-Ghana products and was grateful to Kasapreko for sponsoring the show to mark the beginning of the year.

Even with all the exciting performances, the crowd had lots of energy to jive along with the 'Linda' hit maker, Samini, throughout his performance. Samini also dropped hit song after hit song with a live band and backup singers. He sang both his old songs and current hits with his latest 'Iskoki,' getting patrons gyrating and singing in unison as he performed. Samini was the entertainer of the night as he engaged the crowd as they sang along with him throughout his stage performance.

Patrons were given free Margarita at the gates, a product of Kasapreko Company Limited.
