Gospel Diva Perppy Makes Waves

One of Ghana's talented upcoming gospel musician, perpetual Tsahay, known on the gospel scene as Perppy has declared that she is ready to take Ghanaian gospel music to another level with her soul touching gospel songs.

Perppy who wants to make a difference in the lives of many who want to know and follow the principles of Christ said she would continue to develop her music career to enable her reach the Top of the ladder.

Having sung for several years, Perppy has the voice and demeanor that appeals to both Christians and non Christians alike and the content of her songs are really inspirational and motivational.

Perppy who has finished working on her Eight- track album, including the current popular track “Adom” which is currently enjoying massive airplay, disclosed that she is still on her promotional stage promoting four tracks on her yet to be released album before she launches the album either in March or April , together with four music videos.

The Gospel Diva, who has promised to bring more changes into the gospel market, asked her fans to expect more unique songs and something different from her.

In a chat she opined that though each and every giving day a new talent is discovered, not all are able to reach their peak because they don't get the necessary support they are supposed to get.

She has therefore urged the Ghanaian media to try and put more efforts into promoting new gospel musicians since there are a lot of opportunities there.

She said majority of Ghanaians do like Gospel music compared to other genre of music, adding that there are a lot of opportunities within the gospel music industry but it all depends on how they {Gospel musicians} strategies and grab them.

“ I don't think the industry is more competitive yet, since there are more opportunities within the gospel industry that we the gospel musicians need to grab as well as encourage more talents to also come in so we can win more souls” She said.

Talking about her career she said that, she started music when she was in junior secondary school, adding that professionally she was part of a band (Group) called United Praise which won the 2009 version of Bands Alive competition on the TV3 network.

Perppy continued that, after the group won the Bands alive in 2009 they released an album in 2010 titled “Obra” which was supposed to be exclusively promoted by TV3 but much promotional effort was not put into it.

Speaking about her solo project, she disclosed that, though she's embarking on her solo album, she's still part of the United Praise Band.

“I am not out of the United Praise group though am concentrating more on promoting my album now, I still attend event and programs with the group anytime we get a gig” she said.

She used the opportunity to thank, God for how far He has brought her, and also thank Gospel music fans for welcoming her onto the Ghanaian gospel scene.
