24.12.2014 LISTEN

The Accra International Conference Center will be set alight tonight as Citi 97.3 FM and Airtel present the biggest Christmas party, the Decemba 2 Rememba concert. The Decemba 2 Rememba concert parades the biggest hitmakers of the year to thrill party-goers on Christmas Eve every year.

This year's event features Shatta Wale, M.anifest, Stonebwoy, Guru, Keche, MzVee and Kontihene, who are bent on giving off their best at #D2R2014.

Shatta Wale makes his debut on the Decemba 2 Rememba platform and has promised a night to remember.

The reigning dancehall king and the hottest music act in Ghana Shatta Wale will treat the audience to back-to-back hits from his collection.

The sensational MzVee, the hottest 'femcee' in Ghana at the moment, has also promised something special on the night. According to her, this is the biggest party and has to be memorable.

“That night you should be there to see something specially rehearsed for you. Come and let's have fun,” she told fans in an interview.

Stonebwoy will consolidate the dancehall vibe on the night when he steps us to perform his list of electrifying Afro-Dancehall tunes.

M.anifest returns to the #D2R platform after an impressive debut last year.

He told Bernard Avle in an interview that he will "put all the VIM that I've gathered this year into the concert. It's my Christmas gift to Ghanaians."

This year's throwback artiste, Kontihene, says #D2R2014 will be fireworks.

“It's a duty and a task to get the fans going, to keep them on their toes and to enjoy myself as well. I'm not just going to perform but I'll ensure we all have a good time together. “December 24 is a special day so I don't expect anyone to miss the event. It will really be a night, a Decemba 2 Rememba.”

Keche and Guru will return to the D2R stage with their hit songs, after their exceptional performances last year. With some of the hottest songs to his credit, Guru is expected to be one of the crowd favorites tomorrow at the Accra International Conference Center.

Comedy on the night however will be extended to new dimensions as stand-up comic DKB, is also on the list of entertainers billed to the concert one to remember. He will be joined by Kalybos and Ahuofɛ Patri to administer a healthy dose of humor therapy.

Citi FM has also promised patrons several surprises but remain tight-lipped on the details. Programmes Manager of Citi FM, Jessica Opare-Saforo however insists the event will be worth every pesewa paid by patrons.

“For people who want to be at the event and be part of the whole D2R experience, they can follow the hashtag #D2R2014 for the latest updates including a chance to win some tickets. I am really excited about this year's concert.

Tickets go on sale from Tuesday December 16 at Airtel offices at the Accra Mall, Osu, Marina Mall, Madina, Achimota and Tema.”

The 2014 edition of the nation's official Christmas party, Decemba 2 Rememba, is sponsored by Airtel, Dynamite energy drink and Kupenda Condoms with security from Westec Security.
