Music Star Kwaw Kesse, nicknamed 'Abodam', on Monday could not appear before the KMA Court where he is being tried for smoking 'cannabis' because of ill health.

The presiding judge, William Boampong, therefore adjourned the case to today, Tuesday, December 23, by which time the popular musician is expected to have regained sound health to face trial.

The judge reached his decision after the prosecutor of the case, Supt Emmanuel Akunnor, had told the packed court that Kwaw Kesse was not in good health to appear in court.

According to the prosecutor, Abodam, who was recently taken ill in prison where he had been remanded, visited the hospital for review about his condition on Monday; hence his absence in court.

The prosecutor was however hopeful that Kwaw Kesse could appear in court on Tuesday. The judge who seemed convinced did not hesitate to adjourn the case to Tuesday.

CASE
Abodam was arrested in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, on the night of November 22 this year for smoking cannabis at a public place.

He had since that time been remanded into prison custody by the KMA Court for about three times. The court had also turned down Abodam's application for bail in the process because his case was said to be non-bailable.

STARS
Top music stars like VVIP and Reggie Rockstone as well as Lil Win, a famous movie actor, were all in court on Monday to support Abodam but they were left disappointed since Abodam could not come to court.
