Controversial Dancehall artiste and 2014 Ghana Music Artiste of the Year, Shatta Wale, has reiterated his desire to perform at least a music track collaboration with Samini.

Speaking on Breeze 90.9 FM 's 'Showbiz Today' show hosted by Ekow Poncho last Saturday, Shatta Wale proposed to compose a musical track with Samini.

Shatta Wale, who sounded very humbled compared to his usual display of arrogance and boastfulness, disclosed that it is important that players in the industry pull their strings together to promote dancehall music to enhance the industry.

Perhaps his recent outburst and casting of insinuations and insults at owner of event planning house, Charter House and GH-One TV, which caused the dancehall favourite to be dragged   to the law court and slapped with a GH¢10 million damage, has taught him a great deal of lessons.

Shatta Wale said dancehall and for that matter reggae music has gained massive roots in the country's showbiz industry, making it much easier for more people to relate to the music genre.

Reacting to the forthcoming Bass Awards scheduled for November 29, 2014, Shatta Wale believes the promotion of such awards would motivate dancehall artistes and other music genre artistes to produce quality music that would inspire their listeners and fans.

The Bass Awards is an annual music industry awards specially designed to reward and celebrate reggae and dancehall musicians who have excelled in the year under review and also serves as an annual gathering of lovers of reggae and dancehall creative works.

Shatta Wale is currently leading the nominations ahead of the awards on Saturday. He has been nominated in seven categories: Artiste of The Year (Kwame Nkrumah Award), Dancehall Artiste of The Year, Dancehall Song of The Year, Music Video of The Year, Best Collaboration of The Year and Best Performer of The Year.
