Fuse ODG
UK-based Ghanaian singer Fuse ODG has waded into the war against the Ebola crisis in Africa.

The 'TINA' singer is expected to use all the funds he generates from his next music single to help eradicate the dreaded disease from the three worst hit African countries—Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.

'I hope from the bottom of my heart that the disease can be eradicated in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea. I've performed in two of the three countries currently hit by the Ebola crisis, where I have friends and loyal fans, and will be donating the proceeds from my next single to help tackle this issue,' the Guinness #madeofblack Ambassador stated.

Since the outbreak of the disease in March, it has killed over 5,000 people and is expected to kill more if the situation is not brought under control.

Fuse ODG is reported to have turned down an offer from the Sir Bob Geldof-led Band Aid 30 to compose a song to raise funds to fight Ebola.

But according to Fuse, the lyrics of the song, which were not in line with his beliefs, portray a negative image of Africa.

'Saying no to Bob Geldof is one of the hardest decisions I have had to make this year. For the past four years, I have gone to Ghana at Christmas for the sole purpose of peace and joy. So for me to sing these lyrics would simply be a lie,' he added.

Fuse is currently the head of This Is New Africa (T.I.N.A) movement.
