Haitian-born international music star, Wyclef (Jeanelle) Jean, has expressed utter shock at Nigeria's inability to qualify for next year's Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

The Super Eagles failed to qualify for the 2015 AFCON despite coming from behind to hold South Africa to a 2-2 draw at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria on Wednesday.

Nigerians have vented their anger at their national team and the football federation for failing to make it to the prestigious tournament to defend the title they won in South Africa in 2013.

Wyclef commenting on the outcome of the match said he is stunned that the African champions could not sail through.

He posted on Twitter Wednesday after the match that: “Shocker I am stunned unbelievable the #NGA #SuperEagles are out of #CFA finals in the hand of #RSA #AfricaUnited #Clefication #DivineSorrow”.

Before the match, the award winning musician, known for several hit songs including 'Anything Can Happen', through an earlier tweet quizzed if Nigeria will be able to qualify.

“Last day for #CAF qualifications, will the defending champions #NGA survive? #AfricaUnited #Clefication #DivineSorrow”, Wyclef tweeted.
