Ghanaian music group Kofi-Kwame formerly known as DSTN, after so many years of going through group rivalry are back onto the music scene with new single titled 'OBIREFREMI'

The group which was formerly made up of three members, :Kofi Kwakye, Kwame Toka and Koo Kyere Until the departure of the latter from the group - apart from changing their name DSTN to Kofi-Kwame, are set to cement their identity which is to project the Ghanaian Culture through their music.

The 'Sunday to Sunday' hit makers revealed that, they have finally changed their sound from hip-life to highlife because, it's the genre of music that has longevity and can stand test of time.

'For now, we are focused on recording more high-life songs, but on the album, we will surely be having all genre of music on it' the group members hinted.

'No genre of music identifies who we are as Ghanaians like highlife, it is our own and we need to polish it up to meet with the changing trends in music.

Highlife is still a preferred choice even for the young ones now because , the young artistes have given it that youthful feel to attract a large following ' they asserted.

Speaking about their new single which features 'BISA KDEI' they said, it was produced by award winning sound engineer, Appietus.

It's a love song which talks about the need for people to come to rescue of their lovers when they are in need.

'It is a highlife tune delivered with a funky rhythm, that is Kofi- Kwame's innovation of contemporary high-life' the duo stated.

'Our dream is to take highlife music to international and we working towards it, since that is what can easily be accepted in the outside world' thy concluded.
