I LOVE KUDURO (Documentary), London Premiere - is a collaboration between Angolan

artist Coréon Dú and Portuguese director Mário Patrocinio. It explores the inner workings of the Kuduro phenomenon created in the discos and raves of downtown Luanda. Kuduro (literally translated as 'hard ass') is simultaneously a genre of music, dance and an urban cultural movement born in Angola in the last decade of the country's civil war. Kuduro is now present in every aspect of Angolan popular culture with lyrics that take inspiration from simple day-to-day things in life, which scores of young Angolans and Africans can relate to. ABOUT CORÉON DÚ: - Creator of I LOVE KUDURO & Executive Producer of NJIN- GA - QUEEN OF ANGOLA. This multi-disciplinary Angolan artist has been earning grow- ing international attention for his creative work in and out of the music industry.

In 2011, he created and set into motion the I Love Kuduro International Festival, a touring music event that aimed to bring Kuduro closer to its fans around with the world with an inaugural Kuduro Session party in Paris, and it has since become the largest event dedicated to the genre reaching audiences in Luanda, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Rio de Janeiro and be- yond. The Festival has now spawned the award-winning I LOVE KUDURO documentary developed in collaboration with Mário Patrocinio. His major fictional production was as writer and producer of Angolan soap opera Windeck which earned a 2013 International

Emmy nomination for Best Telenovela. Windeck aired in Angola, Portugal, and is now air-

ing across the African continent in Portuguese, English and French and achieving ex- traordinary recognition from the public and critics. Coréon Dú' is also an accomplished musician with his latest album, Binario was released in New York on September 2014. Binario is a multi-lingual musical experience which includes Coréon´s recent hit single Bailando Kizomba which reached Number 14 in the Billboard Tropical Charts and Number ! 325 the Billboard Latin Pop Chart in the U.S.A and maintained within the Top 30 position in Mexico after its release this spring.

ABOUT SÉRGIO GRACIANO: - NJINGA - QUEEN OF ANGOLA (Njinga, Rainha de Angola) Director Sérgio Graciano has been making films for the last eight years. During that time he has directed several short-films and documentaries. In the last three years he has directed several fictional TV series for RTP (Portuguese Public TV). He won an Emmy with the soap opera Blood Ties. He has made two feature-length films: So So and Njinga - Queen Of Angola

ABOUT MÁRIO PATROCINIO: - I LOVE KUDURO Director Mário Patrocinio cut his teeth in the documentary industry with his full-length documentary Complex: Parallel Universe which portrayed the reality of Rio de Janarios's Complexo do Alemao slum dis- trict, which received its world premier at the Rio de Janeiro International Film Festival in 2010. Complex: Parallel Universe was the highest-grossing documentary film in Por- tuguese theatres in 2011, and that year's second most successful film. It has spanned the globe and received several awards including Best Feature - International Human Rivhts at the Artivist Film Festival in Hollywood. I LOVE KUDURO is his second documentary film.

He is currently based in his native Lisbon and is working on his next film. He is also a founding partner of the film production company BRO, together with his brother Pedro, that has also participated in a number of campaigning projects such as the Compromisso, a campaign for the CTT Expresso company, which was awarded a Gold and a Silver Lion at the Cannes Film Festival.

BRO has also undertaken countless projects in photography and music working with record companies including Universal Music Sony Music and EMI, including the innovative documentary series Red Bull House of Art. As a creative company, BRO works in fiction, documentaries and the web with the mission of creating high-quality alternative productions in a universal language.
