OCT 17, 2014 LISTEN

When the jama songs hit a crescendo and the outrageous nicknames start reverberating all over again on radio then the time for the annual Joy FM Skuuls Reunion has come.

When you hear Africa's number one DJ, DJ Black shouting as if his existence depends on the Skuuls Reunion, then Joy FM means business once again!

Joy FM is once again calling all old students to join the jamboree- a reminiscence of live back in school, a playback of a life-long journey from obscurity to maturity!

Organised by Ghana's leading radio station, Joy FM, one, for only discerning listeners, the Joy FM Skuuls Reunion is now part of the country's entertainment DNA.

It is known to be THE ONLY EVENT, that pulls the largest crowd to a competition of gari soakings, jama competitions and all the things that were done way back in school.

The Joy FM Skuuls Reunion does bring back memories and for the 'lai momos' to wit 'old firewood' (if you attended SSS in Ghana, you will know what it means), it is not the intension of Joy FM to bring you back together but if you two are still single, we gladly support you. Remember Joy FM also has the Bridal Fair!

This year's event, due to the anticipated numbers, will be held again at the Independence Square on Saturday, October 25.

With the sheer enthusiasm and unprecedented energy being unleashed by the various schools currently taking part in the in studio appearances, the 2014 Joy FM Skuuls Reunion is about to make history and even Lexis Bill, host of Drive Time on Joy FM can attest to that.

The Joy FM Skuuls Reunion is also known to reignite rivalries. The ones between Accra Aca and Presec; Adisco and Augusco; Katanga and Vandals; Remember those days?

For over a decade, Joy FM has brought back these healthy rivalries in education in friendship as well as in sports and this year's won't be different.

No wonder Tigo is urging patrons to Keep Doing You. Also with the support of Stone Larger, Nestle Idle Milk and Samalin Lozenges, the 'Levels Don Change' this year!

Come to the Independence Square prepared for a showdown. A showdown of jama from the various schools. One cannot forget Zulu, Vandals, Casfordians and the Spartans! Story by Ghana | Myjoyonline.com | Ernest Dela Aglanu (Twitter: @delaXdela / Instagram: citizendela)
