Meet The 12 Hit-Maker Finalists

Leading telecommunications company, MTN, and Farmhouse Productions have released the list of the 12 finalists who qualified for Season 3 of the annual Hit-Maker music reality show.

The 12 amateur musicians were selected after national auditions which saw over 2000 persons submitting their music demos for consideration. The overall winner would get a cool amount of GH¢100,000 to record and promote a music album. The MTN Foundation would also sponsor the first runner up with GH¢50,000 for same purpose.

SAMSON BANNAR (SAMSON B)
27-year-old Samson B is currently a student of the Valley View University. He hails from Pentobo in the Nadowli District of the Upper West Region AND RECORDED HIS FIRST SONG IN 2007.

He is a man of few words and says he draws his inspiration for music from nature and the environment.

 
ISAAC MANOB AND PRINCE KWAKU OPOKU GYAMFI (INK)
INK is a Kumasi-based music duo, Isaac Manob and Prince Opoku Gyamfi.  The group was formed in 2009 and has competed in several music contests across the country.

 
EMMANUEL ANKRAH  (MAC-M)
Mac-M is a 20-year-old rap artiste.  He says harsh life experiences have taught him to be strong and would be his motivation to win the Hit-Maker 3 cash prize.

 
ANGELA LETSU (ANJI)
Anji is 23 and into gospel music. She says she simply draws her inspiration from God.

 
ISAAC SACKEY (PAPA)
Isaac Sackey goes by the stage name Papa and works as an Accountant at the Central Regional Hospital.  He says his motivation is highlife music and he gets inspiration from highlife legends such as Paapa Yankson, Kofi B and Kwabena Kwabena. Papa believes his motivation for highlife music is strong enough to win him the cash amount.

 
 
ONYAMEPE OPOKU AGYEMANG (NABA)
Naba believes music is a powerful tool for uniting people; and this theme runs through the lyrics of her songs.  She believes her great voice and her lyrics would see her through the competition.

 
WILHEMINA NAA-KOOWA QUAYE(MINA)
Mina sings in church and that is where she discovered her music talent. She is into the gospel music genre.

 
RICHIE TAY
Richie is 24 and says he loves Nigerian songs and almost all genres of music—blues, jazz, RnB, pop, etc.

 
VINCENT TORGBE (TORGBE)
Torgbe is an Electrical Technician with the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). He was born and bred in Hohoe in the Volta Region and says his inspiration is drawn from his desire to 'change the face of Ewe music.'

 
RAYNOLDS BOATENG (SNOW B)
Snow B says he started doing music while in Junior High School (JHS) and his inspiration has been Samini.  Snow B adds that he can't wait to perform his first song to show Ghana his stagecraft.

 
PETER FAMIYEH (FAMIYEH)
 
Famiyeh won't talk about himself but says the MTN Hit-Maker is the biggest music platform for him so far and that his performances would speak for him.

 
YUSSIF MUHAMMED   (LEETY)
Leety says his home is Nima in the Greater Accra Region and describes himself as a song writer, singer and music producer who has done music for the past seven years.

'Coming from a Ghetto has been a great experience for me and has made me who I am. I believe in learning and improving,' Leety added.
