Director Frank Rajah's newly produced movie titled, Iyore , was on Monday screened for Nigerian Ambassador Ademola Oluseyi Onafowokan and his friends at a special screening ceremony at the Nigeria High Commission in Accra.

The ceremony, held at the request of the Nigerian Ambassador to Ghana, was to among other things garner support for the African film industry and also encourage filmmakers to make good movies.

It was strictly by invitation and in attendance were bankers and ambassadors of other countries among others.

They applauded the new movie after credits started rolling to show they were contented with the award winning movie. The movie stars top African actors Rita Dominic, Joseph Benjamin, Yemi Blaq and others.

It is based on the history and culture of the people of Benin, Nigeria, where Frank Rajah comes from. It is a mythical tale set around the ancient Benin Kingdom and tells a story about life after life. The epic feature is a mixture of historical facts and fiction. It explores a tragic love story centred on the rich culture of pre-colonial Benin through to the present day of Benin, whilst exploring the supernatural ideas of reincarnation.

Co-produced by Kwame Boadu for Raj and Heroes films productions 2014, it also stars other celebrated actors such as Paul Obazele, Bukky Wright, Okawa Shaznay and a host of others.

Monday's screening ceremony was climaxed with a cocktail session at the Nigerian High Commission.
