Kumawood actor Big Akwes who accused movie producers, actors and directors of sleeping with actresses has apologised for the claims he made on RTV months ago.
Actor Akwasi Asamoah aka Big Akwes alleged that movie producers sleep with actresses before giving them movie roles and that he will curse anyone who denies the accusation.
The comment sparked controversies in the movie industry.
The actor has however, withdrawn the statement. He further apologised for the utterances.
Following the allegation, the Ashanti Regional chapter of the Ghana Actors' Guild issued a statement signed by the guild's president, Bill Asamoah, disassociating itself from the comments made by the actor on the TV station.
They further gave him a period of seven days to withdraw the statement and apologise.
Ghanaian actresses who also think Big Akwes has disgraced their womanhood through their association led by Mercy Asiedu also issued the actor a three-day ultimatum to withdraw and apologise or face court charges.
As if that was not enough for the actor, Film Producers Association of Ghana, (FIPAG) also warned their members not to work with the actor for the next twenty four months to serve as a deterrent the others.
