An event Organization company in the Ashanti Region known as Goldland Family Entertainment is preparing to launch a new award scheme “Ashanti Christian Music Award” (ACMA 2015) earlier next year.
Speaking to the Public relation officer of the organization Mr. Rockson Baffour of the organisation, this is what he said “Goldland Family Entertainment is an event and promotions organization based in Ashanti Region which consists of young and vibrant team whose mission is to promote the development of the environment that optimizes the potentials of Christian musician and support them develop the Christian community”.
He, however, noted that since Ashanti Region is been noted as a place where most of our Christian musicians started their musical career and also hail from talking of Mark Abraham, Mark Anim Yirenkye, Yaw Sarpong and Asomafo, Mama Esther, Brother Sammy, OJ, Ernest Opoku, Rev Esther Nyamekye among others,the organization thought it wise to put up an award scheme to reward and promote Christian musicians and other industry players based/from Ashanti Region who have one way or the other contributed to the development of Christian music in the region. He also revealed that the organization will reward 21 outstanding Christian musicians in the year under review”.
When asked the motive behind the ACMA awards, this is what he said “It has been the aim of the organization to promote and encourage talents in the Christian music industry to reach out to the Christian community in Ashanti Region and beyond.
The award is dubbed “Ashanti Christian Music Award” (ACMA 2015).
