iSocial TV’s Facebook page has been hacked

On Sunday 14 September 2014 one of the administrators of the social network tv show iSocialTV which airs on GhoneTV Saturdays and Sundays at 3pm released that his access as a manager of the page was changed. It became clear in the next 5 minutes that all the administrators of the fan page which has over 14,500 members have all lost control to a hacker somewhere in Nigeria.

What followed next is a nightmare of seeing our cherished brand dragged to the mud as the hackers post leaked videos and explicit content on the page. A lot of our followers have no idea the page has been hacked and can't believe iSocial page is posting such contents. iSocial page has high conversion rate and very engaging; receiving over 700 likes per week.

The team has tried everything they could to get Facebook to restore the page back but nothing has been done. In our effort to find help for this situation, we discovered thousands of people were in the same soup and even the creator of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg had his page hacked.

So the question is how did they get access to the so called tight security Facebook page?.. well your guess is as good as mine. Having too many Facebook managers could be a way for hackers to use manager's accounts to hack your page. Be careful when you click or enter your log in information from people online.

For now the iSocial team has lost control of one of the most engaging pages. We are trying everything we can to restore the page, we will like to express that we strongly dissociate ourselves and the iSocial brand from the explicit contents posted on our Facebook page. We shall also ask our followers not to respond or send anything through our Facebook page until this issue has been resolved. Facebook will not be used on our TVshow until we have a solution. Our other mediums such as Twitter,Instagram and Youtube are still operational. Please help us spread this to others. The hackers will not win because iSocialTV is bigger than them...
