The MTN Hitmaker show has begun airing on TV stations across the country.
The first of 13 exciting episodes was aired last weekend and showed the wannabes auditioning for a spot in the finals. The second day of auditions will be aired this weekend on TV3, eTV, GHOne, 4SYTE TV, Metro TV and Multi TV.
Under the tagline “Dream It, Be It”, the show, which has produced artistes including Naterial, Mariam Afari, Koo Ntakara, and Trozo, is poised to deliver more Hitmakers this year.
Already, 10 engineers/producers have been selected and are ready to work with the finalists.
Judges for the contest are engineer/producer Hammer; singer Ofie Kodjoe; and producer/keyboardist Bessa Simons.
When the show gets underway, there will be regular evictions until only four contestants remain to battle it out for the ultimate prize, which is a recording deal worth GH¢100,000.
The current Hitmaker season was launched in July. Demo recordings have been submitted and the three judges have completed auditioning sessions to enable them selected the final 12 contestants.
