It was an amazing gathering of family, friends, co-workers and loved ones of ace journalist Dr. Jefferson Sackey in Toronto over the weekend.
The Multimedia Group Senior International Correspondent will be based in Canada for a while as part of efforts to expand the global brand of the group.
Jefferson will also be a guest at this year's Night for Rights an annual dinner in support of Journalists for Human Rights.
Among the guests will be Lisa LaFlamme, Anchor of CTV's National News and Masai Ujiri, General Manager of the Raptors. The programme, which will take place on the night of September 25, is under the theme; “Celebrating Life- Changing Human Rights Journalism”.
A few colleagues gathered in Toronto's T2 Lounge over the weekend to welcome their Ghanaian colleague and wish him well in his birth month.
