Alliance Française Launches “Festival de la Gastronomie”

Alliance Française Accra in collaboration with AccraPremium, is launching the “Festival de la Gastronomie” from the 21st, 26th and 27th of September 2014, an event that seeks to spotlight gastronomy in all its many and diverse forms with emphasis on fine cuisine.

Created four years ago in France and celebrated nationwide, this festival tends to be internationalized as more and more countries are adopting it. This year, Alliance Française Accra brings it to Ghana in a three- day event of discovery, elegance and amusement gathered around a special theme: World Fusion.

The event will commence on Sunday 21st September with the “AccraPremium Food and Wine Festival” organized by AccraPremium at Alliance Française from 10am to 7pm during which restaurants, hotels and brands affiliated to the food sector will share their specialties with the public. Several international chefs will carry out demonstrations in showrooms, and enable the public taste specialties from the world.

On Friday 26th September from 7pm, experience an exquisite and high-profiled gastronomic gala dinner; enjoy exciting culinary delights and good music from the magnificent Ghanaian Opera singer Kokui Selormey at Novotel Hotel. A French master chef will prepare exciting culinary delights around the “world fusion” theme, paired up with superb French wine and champagne to take the attendants on a journey of ravishing tastes.

On Saturday 27th September, the public is invited to cuisine workshops by a prestigious master chef in the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the gardens of prestigious Novotel hotel from 11 am. The participants will benefit from his experience and creativity and will be guided through the finest cuisine using only local products.
