Big Brother Africa, which is the biggest reality show in Africa is set to kick off this weekend September 7 and will have several contestants from different African countries competing for the $300,000 grand prize.

To the dismay of many Rwandese fans their nation won't be represented at the ninth edition of Big Brother Africa 'Hot Shots.' According to the statement that was released there isn't enough time to process travel documentation.

“M-Net's Africa Magic and series producers Endemol SA would like to confirm that Sierra Leone and Rwanda will no longer form part of the countries participating in this year's edition of Big Brother Africa, launching on Sunday 7 September 2014.”

“Unfortunately, due to schedules and logistical constraints, there was insufficient time to follow the necessary procedures in order to process the required travel documentation which has recently become a more complex procedure.”

“M-Net and Endemol SA wish to extend their gratitude to all those individuals, organizations and parties which assisted in working to secure the inclusion of Housemates from both countries.”

“Whilst it is not possible to include Housemates from both countries in this season, M-Net and Endemol SA are confident that they are able to improve the process in order to successfully incorporate Housemates from both countries if there are future editions of the series”.

This would have been Rwanda's and Sierra Leone's first time to participate in Africa's biggest reality show.

The Big Brother Africa housemates who will start the game in two ultra-glamorous houses will be expected to outshine each other in hopes of convincing Africa that they are the biggest Hotshot.
