Selected wannabes of the MTN Hitmaker show will converge at the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) studio on September 2 to compete at the next level.

After the judges had gone through the painstaking process of listening to thousands of demos gathered across the country, all those selected will face the judges for the first time and sing without instrumentals at the NAFTI studio.

After this stage, the numbers will be trimmed again, and those who pass the test will be invited subsequently to sing with the backing of instrumentals before the judges. A final selection will then be made before the show hits the television screens.

Under a fresh tagline “Dream It; Be It”, this year's show is sure to exceed all odds.

“We have done seasons one and two and people now know the drill. I believe they will come much more prepared and give off their best so that the best win,” Mr. Richard Acheampong, General Manager in charge of Marketing Services at MTN, said.

Two new faces have been added to the new season. Legendary music producer and guitarist Zapp Mallet has been replaced by another mogul in music production, Edward Nana Poku Osei, aka Hammer, credited with making the likes of Obrafour, Edem, Kwaw Kese, Sarkodie, and Tinny the stars they are today.

The bubbly Peace Hyde, host of entertainment show EFGH, will be with Bola Ray as hosts and she is expected to bring her cheerful spirit to calm the nerves of contestants before they hit the stage to face the judges.
