Floyd Mayweather Jr's literacy teased for the second time in a week
24.08.2014 LISTEN

It seems that the brutal teasing of boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr and his reading ability is not about to stop after he was tormented live on air during an Power 105 radio show by host DJ Charlmagne Tha God on Friday 22 August.

In this second attack on Mayweather's literacy in a week, the first from rapper  50 Cent , the American DJ played a recording of Mayweather, 37, struggling to read a promo which was due to be played over the air.

The boxer appeared on the radio show last spring and the unedited audio clips were released a few days ago as he tried to read the same drop over and over without total success.

Hollywood Life reported that the other DJs were reluctant to embarrass the welterweight hero in such a harsh fashion to which Charlamagne became defensive saying: "Shut the hell up! I don't give a damn!" before admitting "I got nothing but respect for Floyd Mayweather", which seemed a tad untrue in relation to the circumstances.

Mayweather has since responded on Twitter with a picture of two cheques sporting an impressive amount of money in the total box: $72,276,000.00 to be precise.

This is, of course, on the back of 50 Cent's challenge to his former friend and collaborator to read one full page of a Harry Potter book.

Fitty and Mayweather have been feuding over money for a number of years and are embroiled in a bitter dispute over proceeds from their joint ventures, of which 50 claims Mayweather still owes him $2million.

The rapper, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was nominated as part of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge but declined to complete the task (by using the delightful phrase "f--- the bucket of ice") and instead laid down the gauntlet for Mayweather saying he would donate $750,000 to a charity of his choice if he could complete his request.

However, as 50 clearly believes that Mayweather will be incapable of completing his challenge, it would seem that neither a charity nor the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge will be getting any attention from him.
