Liberian-born Ghanaian actor, Eddie Watson Junior is the new Ghanaian celebrity to join the tall list of Ghanaian entertainers who have had several people creating fake social media accounts in their names in order to deceive others, especially for fraudulent gain. Before him, household names like Sarkodie, Jackie Appiah, Okyeame Kwame, Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro and others have had people creating forgery social media network accounts in their names for their personal gains.

The actor who has for the past few weeks been sharing freebies on his various social media networks –facebook, twitter and instagram attention was drawn to other facebook accounts aside his official fanpage on the online social networking service. The 'Single 6' actor expressed shock when Zionfelix.com contacted him on phone to ask if his attention has been drawn to other fake facebook accounts bearing his name.

“I have only one facebook page and a personal account so I don't know what you are talking. Please hold on and let me check”

“O yes I have seen it. And the account is even interacting with my fans everyday. Woow. But they can't do that to me like that? Whilst I'm trying my best to get interactive with my people, see what they are also doing elsewhere.” he expressed shock.

He added that, he hopes these imposters have not swindled any of his fans and further promised of bringing them down.

He pleaded with his fans to be careful when interacting with him on social media networks because the imposters are more than the real account.

As part of getting closer to his fans, the alumni of University of Liberia, Eddie Watson has for some time now been questioning his fans on his social media pages which the winner gets scratch cards, a hangout with him, mobile phones and other exciting prizes. To join the thousands of people winning these weekly packages, he asked his fans to follow him on twitter or instagram @EddieWatsonJr and like his facebook fanpage, Eddie Watson (www.facebook.com/eddiewatsonjr).
