APR 17, 2014 LISTEN

Teeming loyal patrons of Harvest Praise 2014 are upbeat about this year's event slated for the 18th of April 2014 at the Accra International Conference Center and are getting their praise on for the d-day!

The 2014 edition is promising a heavy dose of the usual praise and worship marathon sessions laced with theatrical performances.

The bill seems to almost be the biggest attraction for fans – this year's will be sampling live performance of American gospel music darling, Kurt Carr.

Many are thrilled by this huge minster whose songs are widely known by most orthodox and charismatic churches in the country, talk of 'We lift our hands in the sanctuary'; 'God great God' and the choicest being 'His mercy kept me'.

Carr's recent tragedy of losing his mum couldn't stop the worship maestro from cancelling his scheduled performance in Accra and reports from his team indicate the Americans are looking forward to Ghana's expressive praise and worship tradition.

Powerful local artists are also ready to turn the conference centre into a mini heaven theatre – leading the pack, Daughters of Glorious Jesus promising to make a strong showing with their latest album and Cynthia Mac Cauley is poised to lift Ghana to the throne room of God's grace.

From the Harvest Music Ministry, Yaw Antwi Dadzie and Rev. Folson will all be ministering alongside the ever green Harvest Gospel Choir.

The program packaged into two events for afternoon and evening looks really tight and explains the euphoria surrounding it. The high note for patrons is the introduction of a kids' show this year during the evening program to deepen the family experience that Harvest Praise offers.

Over 4000 attendees are queuing up with their families including kids to catch the harvest praise train.  Tickets are fast selling out with prices still the same – 30cedis single, 55cedis double, 80cedis triple and VIP 50cedis.

Daniel Adjei, chairman of planning committee says Harvest Praise represents a dynamic contemporary tool for Harvest International Ministries in pushing beyond culture, creed and class to extend the reach of the gospel.

“These turbulent times we are in, call for innovation in doing outreach work; churches competing with growing secularism have to redefine their strategies for packaging and sharing the word of God in a more effective and impactful way, and for us at HIM, harvest praise is one of such tools and we are thankful to God that over the 16years of its existence, Harvest Praise has made humble gains of leading many to Christ, watering thirsty ministries, and rekindling the hope of Christ in many lives.”

All roads lead to the conference centre come Easter Friday, 18th April – 1:30pm for an afternoon treat or 6pm sharp for a nightly experience.
