'Ghana Meets Naija' To Promote African Music

The organisers of 'Ghana Meets Naija' concert yesterday have announced that this year's event slated for May 24 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) is being organised to promote African music and unity among African artistes.

According to the organisers of the event, Empire Entertainment, the event is built on celebrating, uniting and exploring the different, yet similar musical tastes, cultures and artistes of both Ghana and Nigeria.

Organisers have also once again lined up an impressive list of chart toppers from Ghana and Nigeria to continue the tradition of staging a memorable show.

Artistes confirmed for this year's edition include a repertoire of West Africa's best including Sarkodie, Guru, Castro and Lilwin, representing Ghana, while Davido, Kcee and Wizboyy of 'Wizolingo' fame would represent Nigeria.

They added, 'This is just a provisional list of artistes for the concert. More of them have been signed for the mammoth concert will be announced in the coming days.'

Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye Adisi, aka Bola Ray, CEO of Empire Entertainment told BEATWAVES that in addition to promoting unity among African music icons, the concert would also create opportunity for music fans to interact with all the artistes billed to perform at the event.

He promised that the event which is in its fourth edition of the event would be nothing less than spectacular performances and an absolutely exciting show.
