Gospel News Francis Amo, Others Held Hostage At Police Station
JUL 22, 2013 LISTEN

On the 19th of July 2013, hundreds of worshipers from all around the country were held hostage by 6 seasoned worship leaders at the Balm Temple of C.E.M Tesano, adjacent Tesano Police Station. It was six straight hours of back to back Holy-Ghost torture.

Many were left lying on their faces and crying out for more grace, mercy and power as the Majestic Power of God filled the auditorium at the much awaited second edition of Francis Amo's Nights with the King. Having attended the first edition already, some of the worshipers were very much aware of what was to happen; being locked up in a room with anointed worship leaders like Eugene Zuta, Joe Mettle, Ps Isaiah Fosu-Kwaakyen Jnr, Apostle Oko Hackman, Uncle Ato and their Host; the hyper-energetic Francis Amo.

The event commenced with preparatory prayers Led by Minister Joe of Assemblies of God, faith Cchapel to prepare the hearts of God's people for His Majestic arrival. Right Afterwards, the MC for the night, Benjamin Nyarkpo humbly invited Eugene Zuta, up stage.

It was only a few songs into Zuta's ministration when the power on stage cut; leaving Zuta without a microphone or any accompanying instrument. One would expect that at this point the leader would be frustrated and the crowd bored. Interestingly However, the next 15 minutes of lights-out turned out to be some of the deepest and most intimate times with the King. Knees came to ground and white apparels lost their colour as Minister Zuta soaked the people in oil. By the time the power was back; the people had gone too far to return.

With the presence of God already thick in the place, it wasn't too difficult for Pastor Isaiah Fofu-Kwakye Jnr to take the congregation to an even more intense place of worship with his sweet vocal delivery. As if it were not enough, Host Francis Amo thunderously swept the everyone off their feet into the ball room of the King of Kings with his Heavily anointed praise session and promised to come back.

Next to take his turn before the King was the Nyhira singer, the man who is not afraid to declare that he's Saved With Amazing Grace (SWAG); Joe Mettle. With his wide experience in worship leading around the country, Mettle covered the room with the sweet presence of the Holy Spirit to impart the People.

Act after act, song after song, note after note, every single artiste performed excellently and left no way of escape for the hostages of worship. Other renowned gospel artistes like Bernice Ansah and Prophet Agyemang Badu also passed through the night to sing a tune or two to the King.

It was obvious that the hostages completely loved this kidnapped and couldn't wait for the Next Night with the King. Well until Francis Amo and His Team put together the next session of THE NIGHT WITH THE KING which I guess would be somewhere late September or early October, my heart keeps singing and my mind can't help but reminisce the glorious encounter of that wonderful Friday night.
