Vodafone reliable dad promo: two compelling dad-stories win awards on Drive Time

Vodafone Ghana has rewarded listeners who shared compelling stories about their dads on Joy FM's Drive Time Friday.

The first prize winner, Rita from Abeka, took away a Samsung S4. The reward was to celebrate fathers in the Vodafone Reliable Dad Promotion

Five callers called into the show to express their unquenchable love for their fathers but the stories of two were deemed by the judges of the promotion to be touching and worth rewarding.

Carmen Bruce-Annan, Head of Brands and Corporate Communications at Vodafone Ghana, who was one of the judges said the promo was to celebrate compelling stories of good dads.

She said she was moved by Rita's story and had no doubt in her mind that her story was the most compelling.

Bruce-Annan said Vodafone Ghana ran the promotion because they realised there were lots of reliable dads out there who were not being acknowledged.

The telecoms giant decided on the reliable dad promotion also as an extension of National Communication Authority (NCA)'s recent recognition of the company as the most reliable network.

The second prize winner got movie tickets and airtime. Other winners also took away movie tickets.
