This year's Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) has so far received great reviews as one of the best, if not the best, organized awards events to be staged in the country.

Many, including pundits, have said the 14th edition of the prestigious music awards event which came off at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) looked like a well rehearsed masterpiece that ought to be reciprocated every year.

Lurking in the shadows of this year's VGMA, however, were two other great experiences that Vodafone served clients and the general public on the award's night.

Those two events – the Red Room and the Fun Park – redefined the face of entertainment in Ghana. They afforded many a rear opportunity into a unique world well carved to leave a lasting experience for decades to come.

The Red Room
The Red Room which was making a return to the awards this year, was that unique set up at the Conference Centre where special guests were given a passport to a world of style, glamour and an unlimited fan.

With its suburb interior designs and cosy atmosphere, the Red Room gave patrons that perfect get way into a world where one could just party in grand style while enjoying the awards event – on screens.

With a variety of finger-licking foods and assorted cocktails were at individuals beckon call, the Red Room was a home away from home or even better, a free hotel away from a five star hotel.

One unique thing about the Red Room experience was that, some patrons were treated to a drink up at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel after which they were chauffeured in luxury vehicles to the Conference Centre.

In the midst of that rear and exciting experience, however, were some flaws that Vodafone needs to work on. The experience was supposed to afford patrons a fun-pack adventure laced with the opportunity of watching the awards in total comfort.

While a live video of the awards was beamed on screens at the Red Room, sound was absent! What is an awards show without sound? Since the Red Room had two rooms, Vodafone should endeavour to at least let patrons enjoy the awards in one with sound from the event.

Overall, however, it was that unique experience worth experiencing again and one should hastily accept such an invitation should the opportunity present itself.

The Fun Park was that venue where thousands of music lovers who could not make it to the awards night were afford the opportunity of being a part of it.

With its strategic venue and space at the Trade Fair Centre, La, music lovers got the opportunity to follow the awards event live on giant screens.

The event, emceed by radio personality Louis Sekyiamah popularly known as Lexis Bill, was not only about activities at the Conference Centre as scores of people who thronged the venue were treated to some exciting performances.

Mounting the stage at the Fun Park to do what they do best were some of the country's biggest music acts.

The night saw exciting performances from music trio, 4x4, the King of the Streets, Kwaw Kese and the beautiful Raquel. They all kept patrons dancing all night long to the best of tunes the country had to offer.

While the Fun Park was a brilliant idea worth applauding, organizers could do better by publicizing the event to the fullest so many more music lovers could take advantage and benefit from it.
