Point Blank Media Production, producers of the famous Tentacles TV series has launched a triangle of TV series with a call for priority to be given to the African movie industry than the foreign ones.
During a short but colorful ceremony to launch the TV series, Point Blank Media Executive Producer, Mr. Theophilus Akatuba, was confident the series will not only stand the test of time but will bring joy and entertainment to Ghanaian and African families after a hard day's work.
The objective of his company is to expand into a full time broadcasting outfit with ownership of thematic channels which will broadcast across Africa and gradually go global, he said.
He added that other objectives of his outfit is to push forward the crusade of changing the face of Television in Ghana by making it beautiful, glamorous as well as selling Ghana to the outside world.
With the inceptions of their production in 2001, their programs have been viewed across the continent and Europe in more than 25 TV stations.
The three production series that were launched are Tentacles 2, Broadway and the Ultimate Story which the CEO is confident will keep Ghanaians glued to their TV sets and to also entertain them.
On Tentacles 2, he said it is the product of their experience as film makers coupled with the employment of latest technologies in movie production which raptures viewers into the world of reality that makes them expectant of the next episode of the program.
Broadway was designed as a major response to the dominance of foreign TV Dramas on the Ghanaian television featuring the crème-de la crème of the nation's movie icons. The new movie dubbed Super Broadway will be 30 minutes weekly which comes with serious improvements in areas such as story line and picture quality.
He commended Fan Milk Ghana Limited, sponsors of the movies for their bold and courageous step to sponsor the series. He also commended the media for their tremendous support and urged them to continue supporting his outfit.
Mr. Akatuba further welcomes concrete and positive criticisms from the general public which he added helps them to improve on their services.
The occasion was also graced by Ghanaian movie stalwarts such as Emmanuel Armah, Doris Sackitey and Vivian Archor amongst others.
The presence of these great Ghanaian artistes in these series he noted speaks volume of the quality entertainment embedded in the soaps.
