Although Aishatu Shaba refused to tell us her position, we discovered that the up and coming actress was the 1st runner up of the controversial reality TV show, 'The Spirited Actor' which just ended on Viasat1 (Ghana) but Sundays on African Magic channel 151 (Nigeria).
Coming from a hierarchy family, her father, Alhaji Shaba was the formal director of Nigerian Airways and the famous Bisket Shoprite in Nigeria was own by her mother.
Born in Lagos, Aisha grew up predominantly in Chelsea, London - England and graduated with a degree in International Business and Finance in 2007. On her vacation to Nigeria in 2010, her sister lured her to an audition for the reigning television drama, TINSEL and surprisingly, what was meant to be a try landed her the role of a PA 'Tonye' to Philip and Amaka of Tinsel's Reel Studios.
Aisha got the chance to work on her craft daily and could not do anything else after that fortuitous opportunity from M-NET to star in the television that every actor in Africa wish for. Although the drama queen took a break off from Tinsel to compete for the Spirited Actor in America, she made Tinsel and it entire M-NET team proud for securing the second position in the TV show. Obviously, she could have emerged the first should the Spirited Actor avoid any unqualified actress who did not passed through it opened audition. “Even with my Spirited Actor journey, the Tinsel team was always supportive. Am like their little egg” she expressed her gratitude.
As an entrepreneur and writer, Aisha established a boutique called Prettymai and she's currently working on a short film which she believes will get tongue wagging in Africa. In her interview, she revealed that when growing up, one of her dreams was to be a part-time musician since she love to sing but anyone who heard her sing suggested that she never sing in public. Without forgetting her jargon; 'Oluwa (God) is fully involved', Aisha believes she can do all things through Allah
