Radio and entertainment personality, Kofi Okyere Darko, known in showbiz as KOD last Saturday dazzled the audience at the just ended MUSIGA Honours Night when he opened the show with a never seen before performance by any event host in Ghana.

Backed by Kwame Yeboah and OBY Band, KOD did a rendition of songs from CK Mann, Sarkodie, Tagoe Sisters, Kwaw Kesse, Kojo Antwi and Osibisa as the opening act to the admiration of everybody present.

KOD did not need to do anything extraordinary to get the entire house up and dancing; everyone was simply in tune with the songs he performed and his performance was, without doubt, the most thrilling.

The highlight was when the band changed the rhythm to that of a traditional Volta song with KOD singing in Eve.

After that electrifying opening act, he introduced Nana Ampadu and Nana Tuffour, who were just superb. After their performance, the host of the event returned on stage to flawlessly manage the affairs of the night.

In all, 12 musicians and personalities were honoured, including Agya Koo Nimo for Traditional Music Honour, Kofi Tsikata of the World Bank for Music Promotion and Reggie Rockstone for Hip Life Musician Honour, among others.
