Channel O Africa brings you a fresh line-up of resident DJs on Bassment , a show that introduces brand new DJ technology where the deejay mixes music videos back to back on your screen.

Bassment has been revolutionized to include DJs from the different markets who have made a significant mark in the African music scene.

These big name musical maestros include DJ Black from Ghana, Uganda's DJ Mister and Aludah, Kenya's DJ Crème De La Crème and Joe as well as DJs Caise, Neptune and Xclusive from Nigeria.

Most of these top DJ's have carved a name for themselves on the African and international music scenes.

Their unique and inventive styles have enabled them to grace many stages, including Big Brother Africa, while others have performed alongside several of the music industry's leading artists.

'The inclusion of these DJ's was yet another step by the channel that has pioneered musical television in Africa,' said, Channel O Africa Manager, Leslie Kasumba.

'We recognise that DJs drive the music culture, so we want to see them having more of a presence on our channel.

We look forward to working with them and we hope our audiences will appreciate seeing them on their television screens,' he said.

DJ Black started to deejay in 1993 and joined Prime Cut in 1995. In 1997, he moved on to manage Dope Rhyme Studios in Nima giving rise to his clench on hip-hop in Ghana.

He became the DJ for the streets as he made mixtapes and spanned for hip lifers as VIP, Buk Bak, Obrafuo etc and being in the forefront of people who strengthened the Hiplife movement.

DJ Black started radio in 1997 at Radio Universe and won the Rothman's West African DJ Championship the same year.

He went on to release the 'Toontoom Mix Vol 1' the following year. He has also hosted Coptic's Blackstarline mixtape with Lee Kasumba of South Africa.

DJ Black was the first judge to be chosen for the first ever emcee battle in Africa. After University, DJ Black got noticed by Gabby Adjetey and started working with JOY FM, hosting the Open House Party, Joy Beach Jam, Weekend Warmer and other shows in 2001.

He hosted the Weekend Warmer which has throwbacks, and guest spots have a mature audience entertained.

DJ Black founded Blaqbone International together with partners Schwarz Bless'on ( Radio Cardiff ) and Notse A. Amarteyfio in 2005 and managed artistes and DJs such as Dretonio, Philo, E-dBle etc

In 2010, DJ Black formed the Toontoom brand with Toontoom Agency Studios at Kokomlemle. In 2011, DJ Black performed on Big Brother Africa Amplified and won the Best Radio DJ in Ghana adding on to 2010′s Africa's NO 2 Top Radio DJ of the year and the 2010 Red Carpet award from Sniper Squad DJs.
