I’M IN LOVE WITH BOMAYE-The Dilemma of a King

After the rather dramatic return of Blay to the house, it was Gifty who ended up as the Queen of the Week. Gifty as Queen of the Week means a whole lot knowing that she is in the Chichi faction. Talking about Blay, her return was more of a surprise than a victory especially when the likes of Jay and Herty are out there. Blay who barely added anything to the house has finally won the heart of the very same public who voted her out-the complexities of public behavior!
The eviction list is however not a pretty one as there are two from each faction on the list. Talk about balance: Princy, Promzy, Favour and Gifty the queen of the week are the names on the list and one can only wonder what the King was thinking. It is not very clear how he arrives at this kind of a list but with the numbers gone down to six, it must be increasingly difficult for him to decide at this point.
Yet the question still remains; how wise is it to put your favourite on the list? Is that being honest and true to yourself? Are we to expect honest behavior from only the maidens or should we expect it from King Bomaye too? If he has a favourite, he must want her to win right?
Recently though some of the maidens have threatened to leave the house because they thought he had already picked his wife and there was no point in continuing to stay in the house. Perhaps that will have something to do with his decisions because besides choosing a wife he also has a show to run.
This Sunday's eviction will prove to be really crucial as it will set the direction for the rest of the show with the King doing everything possible to make sure no one thinks he has favorites. At this point the show is beginning to reveal the complexities within our behavior as human beings. The reasons behind why we do things and it is in understanding the reason-the true motivators of our actions that we can begin to position ourselves the right way. At this point there are expectations from all quarters and it cannot be an easy position to be in:
Promzy knows she is the favourite and as a woman she would want to be treated as such regardless of the consequences and being as young as she is, she will be uncompromising.
Five other girls or perhaps four when we exclude Blay; also want to be treated fairly because they are still in the house and doing the best they can and as such deserves a piece of the man. The public still wants an exciting show and there will be no show if they are unhappy. I wouldn't want to be in Bomaye's shoes right now.
