The Golders Green Hippodrome was the venue for this year's Africa Gospel Music Awards which took place in London on Saturday the 7th of July 2012. The ceremony was attended by audiences ranging from diplomats, sports personalities, journalists, Artistes and African gospel music enthusiasts.

The organisers had promised that this year will be bigger and better and surely they did not disappoint.

The London weather attempted to throw a damper on things earlier on in the day, but come evening, the skies had cleared and before 5 pm, African Gospel Music Ethusiasts had started arriving and queuing outside the venue

The red carpet event was followed by the main event and the evening kicked off with Kelechi and Allen Caiquo lifting up some songs of praise and adoration. This set the tone for the night and was followed by explosive performances by Gospel Jazz Guitarist Lekan Shobiyi, Atta Boafo, Taymee Tee, Iyobo, Faith Child, Guvna B and BNG and Four Kornerz. Emmy Kosgei who won in the song of the year category thrilled the audiences with her well choreographed and note perfect performances supported by her team and the AGMA house band.

A spokesperson for Pita, one of the nominees at the awards described the night as 'a well organized ,very professional and much enjoyed evening'

A date has been set for the 6th of July 2013 for the 4th African Gospel Music Awards with a venue yet to be announced.

Sponsors are invited to be part of this event which has fast established itself as the biggest and only Gospel Music event that brings together all Africans.
