ABOUT MIMI
For as long as she can remember, emerging Afrobeats and Afro Pop Singer/Songwriter Mimi has always been very passionate about her music and has been singing since the tender age of 12. Burgeoned and nurtured in Church, Mimi's singing talents and dexterities shone all through her teenage years and are bursting at the seams, ready to be unveiled to the world. Describing her music as having a strong personality that excellently expresses and highlights her interesting emotions, Mimi - who loves making music and the pleasure that her music brings to others - cannot wait to reveal herself musically to all who will listen.
In 2011, Mimi released her first single, the O.Y-produced “An Angel” which was superbly followed up by the smashing Afrobeats single “You Make Me Wanna”. As she continues to carve a lane for herself in the Afrobeats music landscape, Mimi has come to the realisation that music was and is where her heart belongs. Fast forward to 2012 and Mimi's singing skills and music style continue to evolve and develop and although music has been a part of her life for a long time, her passion for music is ever more alive and kicking in 2012.
