Big Brother: Hilda is Head of House

Tanzanian housemate in the on-going Big Brother Africa StarGame, Hilda, has been named Downville Head of House for next week.

The Tanzanian housemate, who is up for possible eviction Sunday, together with her partner Julio, was named after she won the Head of House task Friday.

For the Head of House task, Big Brother divided the Downville housemates into two groups and asked them to stand at a starting line where he gave them a mathematical calculation.

The housemates were to figure out the correct answer to the question and run to the correct answer.

After two rounds of that, Hilda was declared winner and became the Head of House, taking over from Ghanaian housemate Keitta.

The interesting twist however is that, Hilda, Julio and Zimbabwean pair Teclar and Menata are all up for possible eviction come Sunday.

The big question here is would Hilda be evicted Sunday or would she be exempted from eviction since she will start her job as Head of House Monday morning?

Sunday's eviction definitely holds the answer.
The Big Brother Stargame is gradually getting exciting. There are exciting ways to vote for your favourite housemates [Ghanaian reps] to keep the person in the StarGame.

You can vote via SMS by sending the word 'vote' followed by the Housemate's name to MTN, Vodafone, Espresso, Tigo and Airtel short code 1474.

For example: To vote for any of Ghana's rep, type 'vote Mildred' or 'vote Keitta' or 'vote DBK' to the short code 1474.

A text cost GH¢0.70pesewas and a number can vote only 100 times by SMS during each voting period.

Viewers can also vote via the website by registering on DStv Connect, or using your existing DStv Connect profile details to log in. Please note that voting on the website or wapsite is free and you are allowed to vote once per hour during the voting period.

Voting begins immediately after the nomination show at 20:30 CAT on Monday nights or immediately after the live eviction show at 21:00 CAT on Sunday nights, and closes at 06:00 CAT the following Sunday morning.

The following mechanism has been put in place to manage the voting for the 14 participating countries, 1 participating country vote. Remaining countries constitute the 15th vote, which should break any potential deadlocks.

Viewers will vote to keep the housemate they wish to see stay in the Big Brother house - regardless of the participant's country of origin.

Each of these 'country' votes will count as one vote. The remaining countries votes will form the 15th vote.

The housemate with the least number of country votes (out of the 15 votes) will leave the house.

Even where the participant from one specific country has been evicted, the viewers from that country will still be able to participate in the game and vote.
