“THE MESSAGE IN MY SONGS ARE SAVING LIVES BUT I SERIOUSLY NEED A PRODUCER”S.K EMMA

You can call him Evan. Sunkwa Kudwonu Emmanuel but he is well spotted and known in the gospel fraternity as S.K Emma. He released his maiden album as a solo artiste not too long ago after releasing the “Awurade gye me” album with a group in Kumasi known as “Emma and Gabriel” in about 8 years back.

S.K disclosed in an interview that after the release of that group album, he travelled to the capital city (Accra) alone as a solo artiste and have since being recording with Nacy, Oteng and some other sound engineers in the country. “I must say my hard work in the last 5 years with Nacy in bringing out this solo album (NKWA), has been very fruitful looking at the testimonies that are coming day in and day out. I believe the message in the song is really touching lives as I prayed for it to be. I had a call from a gentleman lately from one of the regions and I was much grateful to God in hearing the man say he had a change of mind in his attempt to involve himself in a money ritual (SAKAWA) business after listening to the “nkwa” song on my latest album. He wasn't the first, there have been a lot of phone calls from all corners of the country and people are really sharing their testimonies and I'm happy my song did not only earn much airplay but it saving and touching lives as I have always prayed for it to be” S.k said.

The song writer, composer who also doubles as an evangelist further revealed his difficulties in financing his “nkwa” album and called on music producers in the country to invest in up and coming talents like himself because looking down on such talents because of perhaps the bad working attitude of the “already-made” artiste could kill their talents and ceased them from spreading the word of God. “My brother as I'm talking to you, I'm doing everything myself and it has not been easy for me. I pray and hope I get a producer soon so he can assist me in my music career. I'm ready to work with any God fearing person” S.K revealed.

Born to Ghanaian parents Charity Sunkwa and Ebenezer Kofi Kpe who hails from Keta in the Volta region, S.K Emma is the 3rd to a family of five and is happily married and blessed with two beautiful daughters Angela Sunkwa and Charity Sunkwa. In his expectations in the future and advice to Ghanaians, the father of two said; “I pray all my albums especially the future ones should saves lives and souls to God. I want to urge all Ghanaians to always give thanks to God in whatever situation they find themselves in because life is more precious than silver and gold. If you have life, you have everything. As we draw closer to the general elections, we should remember as Ghanaians that with peace and unity in God, we can move this lovely country forward, therefore we must all agree to disagree to any form of misunderstanding or fight so we can all vote peacefully come 7th December for a God fearing leader. I also want to thank God for my mother and wife Grace Sunkwa, my lovely sister Grace Agyeiwaa, Mr. & Mrs Moore, my very good friend Papa Rich. These are people who have help and motivated me in all diverse ways in my career as a gospel musician.
