The much anticipated premiere of award winning movie, ' Phone Swap' by award-winning director Funle Afolayan is scheduled for the Silverbird Cinema in Accra today, April 5.

The premiere, which will take place in the evening, is expected to gather the crème de la crème of Ghana's movie industry and some stakeholders from Nollywood. Among them will be the cast and crew of the movie.

Last week, Nollywood's sensational actress Nse Ikpe Etim and director arrived in Ghana ahead of the major premiere on Thursday April 5 at the Silverbird Cinema in Accra.

Nse and Kunle arrived in Accra as part of plans ahead of the main event and have since been granting interviews about their roles in the production.

They were at the Silverbird Cinema on Friday for the movie's media viewing and could not hide their feelings about being in Ghana again.

At the Silverbird Cinema, with them were the 2010 and 2011 African Movie Academy Awards Best Actress In Lead Role winners Lydia Forson and Ama K Abebrese.

Nse hopes for a nice experience with her Ghanaian fans as she has started to learn how to speak Twi from Lydia Forson so she could communicate with them.

The film, which parades award-winning stars like Joke Silva, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Wale Ojo, Lydia Forson, among others, dwells on two strangers who bump into each other in an airport and mistakenly swap their identical Blackberry phones.

This leads to a destination mix-up after they receive one another's text regarding a travel destination; and neither knows about the swap until they have reached their opposite destinations. As the plot thickens, new dimensions are instigated.

As a result of the phone swap, they agree to help carry out each other's mission, armed with the information and data on each other's phone. But it's not as easy as they both think as new obstacles and complications rise at every turn as they both struggle to adapt to their alien environment and situation.

The movie follows in the tradition of Kunle Afolayan's earlier movie, critically-acclaimed 'Irapada' and award-winning, ' Figurine'.

The movie has an entertaining storyline, unique pictures, and interesting characters. Above all, it reminds Africans about their roots, as Afolayan fused Yoruba, Twi, English and other Nigerian dialects and subtitled them.
