Selina Boateng Set To Win Gospel Artiste Of The Year Award

Following her outstanding achievements in the gospel music industry in Ghana, Selina Boateng has been tipped to win the Gospel Song of The Year award at this year's Vodafone Ghana Music Awards slated for Saturday, April 14 at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Sensational Selina Boateng has been nominated for Gospel Artiste of the Year, Most Popular Song of the Year, Gospel Song of the year, Album of the Year and Gospel Album of the year.

The charming gospel icon is hopeful of sweeping all five of the awards she has been nominated for, following the release of her nine-song album, also titled ' Minku Me Ho'.

A large number of fans have therefore declared to vote overwhelmingly for her to win the five awards.

According to her managers, even though there were some key contenders for the awards, Selina stood a chance of winning as Ghanaians loved her songs because they lifted souls.

Her songs make it explicitly clear that human wisdom or effort to solve problems was synonymous to chasing after the wind, and that in all things, we should not be anxious but rather depend absolutely on the Lord.

The gospel star, who has promised to make a difference in the lives of many who want to know and follow the principles of Christ, told BEATWAVES that she would continue to develop her musical career to enable her reach the top of the ladder.

According to her management, Selina's passion for gospel music was very strong .

The management noted that ever since she dropped her third album, ' Minku Meho' , Selina has been regarded as a great singer whose inspiring songs never fail to have a progressive impact on the gospel music industry in Ghana.

The songs on her third album have gotten gospel music fanatics rushing to music shops to grab copies of the CD.

According to the management, Selina has a bright future and would soon compete with veterans on the music scene.
