Esther Afu Essel winner of Face of Vienna City

Beautiful queen Esther Afu Essel is the proud winner of the first edition of Face of Vienna City pageant organized by the Ghana branch of Vienna City Group of Companies in collaboration with Consul limited.

The Face of Vienna is an international event held every year in Vienna, Australia, by the Vienna City Group. The hospitality giant player brought the pageant to Ghana for the first time to search for a beautiful lady with elegance and intelligence to represent the Vienna City brand.

The event took place on November 19 at the Takoradi branch of Vienna City restaurant, where beautiful contestants tried to display great acumen to emerge winners.

At the end, Esther Afu Essel came in tops, with Alexandra Okyere and Beautrice Dossah taking second and third positions.

Last Friday, Vienna City management held a short prize presentation ceremony, where winners were presented with their promised prize packages.

Esther received a cash prize of GH¢3000, a certificate, the title of Face of Vienna City and other souvenirs from sponsors.

Runners up Alexandra and Beatrice took GH¢2000 and GH¢1500 respectively, including certificates and souvenirs from sponsors.

The rest of the contestants also received cash prizes and certificates for their participation.  

Besides representing the Vienna City brand, Esther will also represent Ghana at the Vienna international pageant next year.

She will be involved in service to society by collaborating with Zoomlion to clean some strategic locations in the country.

Organisers told journalists on Friday that the event had come to stay and it was one other way of contributing to the hospitality industry. The event, they said, would be held every year.   

The year's event started with auditions from September 15 to 27 in Kumasi, Accra, Tema and Takoradi.
