It was a night that everything  was down to the wire, the best of   the US, Nigeria and Ghana  coming together on one stage at the second edition of the Vodafone 020 Live concert to quench the thirst of an already psyched audience.

The concert which came off at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre Tuesday night had on its menu a unique blend of seasoned acts who have proven track records of living up to expectation whenever they are called upon.

The show got off to a slow start and as patrons trickled in slowly, it was the best move by organisers to have two DJs, Nii Ayi Tagoe and DJ Vision on rotation behind the turn-tables to warm up the venue.

As the numbers grew, the warm-up by the DJs soon turned the Dome into a party frenzy with - girls in skimpy clothes, which revealed as much as they hid – curvy plesurable anatomies, some bearing cleavages 'banishable' from any church congregation but too eager to show off what their mamas gave them.

And when the spirit of the azonto dance decided to descend and fill the air with full force, not even Nii Ayi Tagoe could resist a step or two. (Please don't tell him I said his tummy did all the dancing, at least I saw his hands move about in coordinated wipes).

Then Eddie Blay Jnr stormed the stage, followed by the sexy Amber Rose - the two were MCs for the show. Amber Rose's entry was heralded by loud uncontrollable cheers - as soon as she hit the stage, she lit the stage! The guys were loving her already.

Amber Rose caught the azonto flu too; in a bid to prove she was 'home' she gently tried her hips to the azonto dance and yes she did! - Amber was now in Ghana.

It was the Adabraka boys, 5Five who got the show rolling with their smash hit, Move Back. With their hood-azonto-like titillating dance moves - the mugye baya guys were rocking it hard on stage. They put their energies to good use, charging the crowd up for more.

Amber Rose and Eddie Blay were back on stage after that performance. Eddie decided to have a go at Amber whose fashion sense for the night was attracting some focused stares - she was whetting the appetite of many. Eddie shed off an inch of his fear and boldly said, 'Amber Rose, could you be my rose?' 'Wiz Khalifa gonna beat you up,' Amber responded swiftly.

Stay Jay was next with his Sue, Sha She Wowo and Yenko Nkoaa bangers – by now everyone at the Dome was up standing, the Dome was electrified. That atmosphere was however killed by winners of the maiden edition of Vodafone Icon winners, RnM, who looked like total strangers on stage in spite of the fact that they were carried on to the stage.

D Cryme revived the show. He made a strong case for stagecraft in the country. His entry onto the stage was preceded by some well built and neatly dressed navy officers' band. But for poor sound, which was part of a catalogue of the concert's organizational flaws, D Cryme's performance with the navy band would have been flawless.

Boggie Down Nima group, VIP, followed D Cryme with their intensely choregraphed stage act. They brought to bear a craft that has cemented them as one of the best Ghanaian music groups in the country, if not the best. They took wild cheering fans on a journey through old hits such as Ahomka Womu, Besin to new tunes, I think I like Am, She be My taste and others , they, together with former member, Friction, owned the stage throughout their performance.

Nigerian act, D'banj popularly known as the kokomaster and his band shifted the show into another gear. Dashing onto the stage looking fresh and neatly dressed, D'banj asked, 'where are my kokolets?' the girls were ecstatic! Constantly screaming 'Oshe', he took fans to the beginning performing tracks such as, Why Me to new cuts; Scapegoat, Mr Endowed, Fall in Love, and Oliver Twist.

The vibrant D'banj was later joined by fellow Mo'Hits mates, K-Switch and Wande Coal who later ushered Tema based duo, R2Bees on to the stage performing their popular tune Kiss Your Hand.

Soon it was time for the main act of the night, Trey Songz to finally mount the stage.

The cute Trey Songz however came onto the stage with some magic! He drove the ladies nuts, and they kept screaming throughout his performance, soon their pain of waiting paved way, replaced by cheers. He knew how to read the minds of the ladies and he sang to their delight. Elated Trey who kept teasing the ladies with his sexy six-packs said, 'This is my first time in Ghana … it will not be my last.'

He performed several of his popular tunes: Can't Help But Wait, Already Taken, Out of My Head, Just Gotta Make It, Successful, Motivation (remix) and Bottoms Up bringing the show to a close.
