GIVE NOLLYWOOD A CHANCE-- TUNDE KELANI
Tunde Kelani, if not that I respect you very much, I would have used an uncomplimentary remark on your article. I have seen some of your movies, I have also seen some of Tade Ogidan's films, and to me, these are the only only producer/director we have in Nigeria, I can also bring in Izu Ojokwu, who is a good director too. We don't liken Nollywood to Hollywood, but Nollywood should seek its level and stay there, it's Nollywood who always tells us how they equal Hollywood. I saw you when you came to Senegal, and with some of your movies I have seen, I have seen some artistic values in them, but in Nollywood, it's not the same, is Nollywood a film industry or an entreprise full of business men who produce a film in one week, and while watching their films, you either see a boom mic or some of the crew members through the side glass of the car they are shooting. A fool at 40 is a fool forever, and a nul at 15 is a nul for ever.
