Nigerian dancehall artiste, Erick-D, has called on Kenyan artiste to shun pride and ego in order for the Kenyan music industry to grow.
The singer famous for his dancehall single 'Bada Boom,' explained that there is no unity among the Kenyan artistes because they are not ready to help each other to grow.
Eric-D who is now based in Kenya and worked with artistes such as 2Face and Timaya, stressed that majority of Kenyan artistes, especially in the secular industry, are so egocentric to an extent that they never show each other the way in order to realise "real" local and international success.
"You will sit with them and eat or drink and laugh together but the moment you ask them for help in showing you how things are done here, that is the end of your friendship. They will disappear and you will never see them again. It's very different from Nigeria where artistes have unity and that is why Nigerian music is doing so well. So, if they really want their fortunes to change they should embrace unity and support each other. I am not dissing any artiste but we should wake up," he suggested.
