Artistes Live Above Their Income—Tunde Obe
08.08.2014 LISTEN

Showbiz couple, Tunde and Wunmi Obe (T.W.O), have really proven to fans that true love still exist in the society especially if both parties are ready to open up to each other and share understanding.

The duo who recently completed their multi-million naira luxury mansion at Justice Coker Estate, Alausa, Lagos, has also added another single to their effort with wave making track 'Green-White-Green,' a classical collaboration with award winning singer, 2Face Idibia.

In a recent interview on their road to success, Tunde Obe disclosed that where young Nigerian artistes get it wrong is when they try to live above their income and as such, tend to fall by the way side.

He explained that his family success came with lots of sacrifices, adding that he didn't spend nights in clubs drinking champagne neither did he have children outside.

According to Tunde, “When I and Wunmi started, we could have afforded to rent a luxury apartment on the Island, considering the kind of money we were making that time, but we were living in Gowon Estate, Ipaja, Lagos, where we paid minimal rent so we can save for other basic needs. It wasn't a day's journey. Many artistes don't get it right. You are driving a car you don't have a quarter of its total cost in your account, you are a failure.”

Tunde urged the few ones who are still making it to try and invest wisely because they can't predict what the future holds.
