Millions of Nigerian fans love to watch Teleˈmundo's most popular tele novellas such as Cruel Love, Labour of Love, Forbidden Passion, My Heart Beats for Lola, Elena's Ghost, The Queen of the South where Teresa Mendoza (Kate del Castillo) thrilled them, Behind Closed Door where many of them fell in love with Carola Conde (Ximena Duque) and The del Monte Dynasty starring Mario Cimarro as Juan del Monte, who is the most famous Teleˈmundo star in Nigeria. And currently Alguien Te Mira (Someone's Watching) is the Teleˈmundo hit of the moment on Mnet DSTV cable network in Nigeria.

Teleˈmundo, the American Spanish language broadcast television network that is owned by the NBCUniversal Television Group broadcasts programs aimed at Hispanic and Latino Americans in the U.S., and audiences around the world - featuring a mix of telenovelas, sports, reality television series, news programming, and feature films (both Spanish-dubbed versions of American films and imported films produced in Spanish-speaking countries). And Teleˈmundo Africa was launched in 2013 to focus on millions of people in Africa who are subscribers of DSTV/GOTV Cable TV service from Multichoice Africa.

Teleˈmundo's tele novelas share many similarities with Nollywood movies on traditional romance stories, mystery, action and adventure stories, and stories based on real-life events which have become must see on the popular Africa Magic and I believe will also attract Latinos in general and in particular Afro-Latin Americans in the Diaspora.

Teleˈmundo Africa can dub our popular Nollywood movies into Spanish for the appreciation of Latinos as we also appreciate Teleˈmundo movies in Nigeria. That is; we should compliment each other and I know that millions of Latinos will love Nollywood movies, because of the similar contemporary issues of our societies. And such social and cultural collaborations through movies will promote the better appreciation of our cultures through entertainment, because motion picture is the most effective vehicle for the appreciation of culture.

Teleˈmundo International's dubbing of Nollywood movies into Spanish for telecast on the Teleˈmundo International network will attract millions of Afro-Latin Americans, including Afro-Colombians making up 10.6% of the population of Colombia (almost 4.9 million people).

From Teleˈmundo to Nollymundo, Nollywood movies will be breaking new grounds and conquering new territories in the world.

It is possible.
