The continuous effort and perseverance are beginning to materialize for MAXIM, after several years of being without a particular record label, Adebola Oluwaseun Ayodeji (a.k.a Maxim) the Victims of Emotion crooner seems to be on his part to stardom already with the new deal he just struck with Prayboy Records, Maryland, a US based music record label. His new single titled “Boogie Down” will be dropping on Friday June 22nd, 2012. The pop song “Boogie Down“ is an up-tempo piece showcasing Maxim in a party mood yet still reflects his unquestionable unique skills and style. Maxim came to recognition with his single titled 'Victim of Emotions,' produced by Samklef with an excellent video directed by Igho Films.
The club banger song (Boogie Down) which was produced by Fliptyce has been sampled tested and approved by leading stakeholders in the Industry and indeed it looks like the missing rib for the uncompleted bones of the R n B & Pop act in recent years, having dropped audios and videos of “Loving You” and recently “Victims of Emotion” to the admirers of his very unique style.
Information has it on authoritative note that all things being equal, the award winning artiste will be on his way outside the country for US Tour to promote his new single and to equally make a very bold statement that he has arrived this time for good.
In the word of Maxim, he said “ I got to be honest with you, like I use to say that the MAXIM Brand is a Unique one, Boogie Down is the song for the Industry, it is a true reflection of me in happy mood. My album is done and ready to fly but I still want to explore with this single. Plans are already in top gear for the US Tour courtesy my labels (Bighouse Music/Prayboy Records) and it is happening before the year runs out. I want to appreciate my fans, my well-wishers and others who believe in the MAXIM brands. This is as a result of hard-work, painstaking dedication and prayer” he concluded.
It would be recalled that some months ago MAXIM won the Award of BRAND VILLA Artiste of the Month via a Brand and Product show on TV & Radio called BRAND VILLA, he was named ahead of two other rave of the moment artistes, Davido and Brymo in a very highly contested award. The criteria used includes brand appeal and acceptance of the artiste, artiste media visibility, artiste brand statement &outlook, popularity of songs (audio or video), possible brand endorsement, depth and understand of songs etc. Apart from the above, the songs under review were Maxim's “Victims of Emotions”, Davido's “Dami Duro” and Brymo's “Ara”.
A graduate of Physics at the University of Ado-Ekiti, he has gradually cut a niche for himself as an act that can hold his sway on and off the stage. Maxim has since stamped his entrance into the highly populated Nigeria music industry as the fastest rising Pop and R n B act whose style is unique and special. He plays guitar, keyboard amidst other instrument.
His influences remain Lemar and Boys II Men. Boogie down is his new single off his debut album, which is almost done. An up tempo piece that will set the floor on fire any day! The song really showcases Maxim in a party mood, while he still maintains his unquestionable skills. He has over the years worked with A-List producers like Shizzie, Fliptyce and Samklef etc.
