Striking Lagos state doctors were all sacked on Monday by the Lagos state government. A dismissal letter signed by the CMD of LASUTH, Professor David Oke was sent to each of the striking doctors.
In the letter prepared by the Personnel Management Board, the government accused the doctors of misconduct and absence from duty without leave.
The doctors initially went on a three-day warning strike. When the warning strike did not persuade the government to negotiate, two weeks ago the doctors went on an indefinite strike.
