
It was a gathering of the who is who in the entertainment industry on Saturday, 21st April 2012 when Nkiru,daughter of Nollywood star,Rita Edochie finally got hooked and tied the knot with her long time heart throb,Chukwuemelie Ibekwe.
The colourful traditional marriage and white wedding took place on the same day were held at Onitsha,Anambra State.
It was a festival like event.A fun filled event to its brim .
After the traditional marriage,held in the bride's home,they went to St. Mary's Catholic Church,awka road for the white wedding after which they went to Ogboli Primary Schoool field for the reception.
To say that Rita Edochie was obviously filled with joy and happiness that day is an understatement, it was all over her.
Emelie and Nkiru we gathered started their relationship about 10 years ago when Nkiru was said to be in secondaty school.They have a son who is about 10 years,but they separated for a very long while before fate brought them together again.
However,Nkiru who looks exactly like her mum and her lover,Emelie decided to make it permanent this time.
The tall and elegant actress,Rita drew the cream of Nollywood acts to grace the occasion as they all came out en masse to give her their support.
Despite the fact that movie practitioners had a lot of events that weekend such as Chidi Mokeme's tradition marriage and Stephanie Okereke's white wedding in Paris.
A roll call of the crème of entertainment people that graced the marriage include top Nollywood stars,Kenneth Okonkwo,Chinwetalu Agu,Amaechi Muonagor,Tony One Week,Klint Da Drunk amongst several others.
