He is by all standard one of the A-list actors in the land with several sterling appearances in as much number of Grade A movies to show for it. Even at that, his artistic gift transcends translating written lines into visual delights in movies, little wonder he appears in commercial campaigns from time to time. He has also presented over 50 episodes of Petroleum Perspective, which ran on national network.

Those who know him well and keep tabs on his career recall that he first shot into public consciousness as a model when he modeled Harp lager beer for brewing giant, NB Plc alongside another Nollywood face, Kate Henshaw.

In what appears as his new song, however, Aseroma, who told us he only plays major roles now has his eyes set on the summit of his acting calling. He said he is not joking about it! Two things stand him in good stead for that great leap of fate and one might just serve as a launch pad.

Warri, Delta state born Aseroma, an applied chemistry graduate of the University of Lagos, believed he has seen it all on the local scene. Truly so, he has not only graced several successful flicks, he has also shone like a star. He stated he is not in about a handful well applauded television soap operas, one of which is Kamson And Neighbours, which shows on AIT and LTV.

Come the Berlin Film Festival, if he attends, he will be the cynosure of all eyes when Beyond Greener Pastures premieres as the lead actor in the movie. The movie was shot in Nigeria and a couple German cities.

Quiet, boyishly good-looking and with a benign attitude, Aseroma could also be downright frank, even if he causes some controversy in the process. He told this reporter that he does not see himself as a star and the is no superstar in the country.

'What about you?' our correspondent interjected and he bellowed thus:

"I am a damn good actor, I don't see myself as a star; stars are made for the skies. I am not aware of any superstar in Nigeria. How many of those that claim to be so could walk into an eatery and pay the bills of everybody they meet in the eatery."

In truth, actors like him are rare to come by. After this interview appointment was fixed, 24 four hours to the appointment fire engulfed his apartment and destroyed properties worth amount he said he won't disclose, he still kept the appointment and, when we extended our sympathy, he said "All is well; God has a purpose for it," then momentarily got human when he lamented "The fire consumed all the things I bought and was planning to move into a new apartment with."

Asked how he came about the television jingle for communications giant, Glo, he said it was providence. The advertisement, which language of communication was pidgin English is still a delight with teevee audience.

"It was fate. They were in the studio rehearsing the script when they realised they needed somebody that would be able to flow with O'Sam; eventually I was thought of and I brought some real Waffi tongue into it like 'Any how any how, no yanga yanga, I'm happy I didn't disappoint them," explained the actor who told us "I'm like a lion, lions don't come out any how; any role I touch is a major role and I bring my touch of excellence and class to bear on the movie, which is why every movie I appear in always sells."
