Cabo Verde , an island country spanning an archipelago of 10 volcanic islands in the central Atlantic Ocean is located about 600 kilometres off the coast of Western Africa and has one of the highest tourist arrivals growth rate. It is particularly known for the immense amount of living species - plant and animal peculiar to it. The possibility of island-hopping makes this archipelago even more interesting!

It is home to Santa Maria, where a magnificent beach of fine white sand enough to soothe frayed nerves. As cultural centre of the country, São Vicente charms many with Mindelo it’s main town. Santo Antão, a ferry ride away from São Vicente scenic atmosphere is perfect for intimate getaways. Santiago is the largest of all the islands, it houses the seat of government and Cidade Velhe, the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in the archipelago.

Don’t forget to learn a little portuguese and creole while there. History buffs should remember make pit stops at the Cidade Velhe, one of the UNESCO-designated sites and adventure lovers are free to get a taste of the wildlife and for the lovers, this makes for an amazing honeymoon and wedding destination!
